Just in case you didn’t know what a Democracy and Republic look like.. this illustration should help clear it up in a hurry.  Though offered as humor, there is a lot of inferred meaning, quite thought provoking if you think about the image each time you hear a Liberal/Democrat call our REPUBLIC a Democracy.

An interesting letter in the Australian Shooter Magazine this week:

“If you consider that there has been an average of 160,000 troops in the Iraq Theater of operations during the past 22 months, and a total of 2112 deaths, that gives a firearm death rate of 60 per 100,000 soldiers.

The firearm death rate in Washington, DC is 80.6 per 100,000 for the same period. That means you are about 25 per cent more likely to be shot and killed in the US capital which has some of the strictest gun control laws in the U.S., than you are in Iraq.

Conclusion: The U.S.should pull out of Washington.

Okay now this makes little sense.. Yes I understand and have sympathy for folks are are underwater with their mortgages….  But the simple notion of the feds stepping in to “fix” this problem by somehow either.forcing mortgage companies and banks to forgive the the overages, I assume the feds will make up the differences somehow right?  So that puts every taxpayer on the hook for untold billions more debt?  well not every taxpayer, just those that actually PAY taxes! 

Mayhaps a new approach should be taken by the current administraion…. Like leave things the hell alone,  quit trying to fix it!  To date the only thing that has been done is spending trillions of dollars (that we don’t have) and the problems are getting worse! History has shown us that we, the American people, businesses, and entrenupers are quite resilliant and can sort things out for ourselves.  Just go sit in your plush offices and dream about re-election (as if that was going to happen), but keep your damn fingers out of everything, time and REAL Americans will heal them all by themselves.

These entitlement programs are what is really killing us, if you quit taking taking from ‘us’ to give to ‘them’ nothing ever changes…  When people get hungry they will find and take work.  Not providing any motivation to sit on thier asses and instead encouraging them to just sit back and collect a check, foodstamps, welfare, assistance in paying a mortgage they can’t afford.

Where is the sense in any of this. 

“When I wake up every single morning, what I’m thinking about is how do we create an America in which you have opportunity, in which anybody can make it if they try, no matter what they look like, no matter where they come from, no matter what race, what creed, what faith.” And, a few breaths later, he said that there’s only one way, only one force, that can achieve that outcome–the federal goverment.

If you have ever wondered about the government’s ability to control the civilian airwaves, you will have your answer on November 9th.

On that day, federal authorities are going to shut off all television and radio communications simultaneously at 2:00PM EST to complete the first ever test of the national Emergency Alert System (EAS).

This isn’t a wild conspiracy theory. The upcoming test is posted on the Public Safety and Homeland Security Bureau website.

Only the President has the authority to activate EAS at the national level, and he has delegated that authority to the Director of FEMA.  The test will be conducted jointly by the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) through  FEMA, the Federal Communications Commission (FCC), and the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration’s (NOAA) National Weather Service (NWS).

In essence, the authority to seize control of all television and civilian communication has been asserted by the executive branch and handed to a government agency.

The EAS has been around since 1994. Its precursor, the Emergency Broadcast System (EBS), started back in 1963.  Television and radio broadcasters, satellite radio and satellite television providers,  cable television and wireline video providers are all involved in the system.

So this begs the question: is the first ever national EAS test really a big deal?

Probably not. At least, not yet.

But there are some troubling factors all coming together right now that could conceivably trigger a real usage of the EAS system in the not too distant future.  A European financial collapse could bring down U.S. markets. What is now the “Occupy” movement could lead to widespread civil unrest. And there are ominous signs that radical groups such as Anonymous will attempt something major on November 5th- Guy Fawke’s day.

Now we know in the event of a major crisis, the American people will be told with one voice, at the same time, about an emergency.

All thats left to determine is who will have control of the EAS when that day comes, and what their message will be.

Did you miss it?  Maybe you found something else.to do while waiting for the fottball game to start, yes Obama gave yet another speech.  For 40 plus minutes going on about how Congress must pass this bill right now…  What mystical document must be passed?  He’s presented nothing a bunch of worn out ideas that did nothing in the past but drive our nations deficit deeper and deeper.  It sure must be a wonderful thing, akin to the total fiasco of Obamacre… pass it now and we can find out what’s really in it and how it will be funded in two weeks!  Too bad it doesn’t yet exist except in his mind.  The Master Visionary hard at work trying to destroy our nation so it can be rebuilt into some socialist state to suite his plans. 

What he and every other Democrat fails to see is this great nation of ours has done well enough for itself for the last 200 plus years without him!  At least when conservatives are running things, yes I’ll admit without further extending entitlements to those that will not do for themselves.  Afterall why should they fend for themselves when vote pandering Democrats are constantly handing out the hard EARNED monies taken from those that will actually earn it, and for the meager price of a vote to keep them in power.  Are people so blind or ignorant they cannot see this circle?  I think not, its more likely been bred into some folks to do nothing and take from everyone else…. it is the entitlement way after all… their parents did it and their parents before them.  People wonder why the people of the U.S. seem not to be able to do anything for themselves….  intentionally dumbing down the population and allowing the country to become a stagnent pool. 

It wasn’t that long ago kids learned that if its broken learn how and fix it.  Nowadays we have been thrust into a disposable society… forget fixing anything, just toss it and get a new one.  Not too kong ago it was fix it and get it working or do without! 

Back to Obama’s magical jobs program speech, there were enough half truths and just plain made up things to fill a 13 yard truck.  Can anyone tell me how payroll tax cuts for employees and businesses will raise funds for the feds to redistribute to pay for all these wonderful plans?  I’m all for tax cuts, don’t get me wrong but I’m no dummy either.  Less money in does not equal more going out to fund stupid stuff. 

Lets hire more teachers and fix the run down schools in impoverished areas… how about pitting in a security system and catch the morons that are tearing them up in the first place…. and behold you now have a workforce to make the repairs.  Why fix it up and hire more teachers to teach kids that don’t care about gaining an education in the first place.  They can ‘not learn’ and play their little gang wars in a torn up building, hell they tore it up in the first place!

Here we sit less than 48 hours after the shooting spree in Tucson, AZ and the stupid is starting up….  Already the liberals are exhonorating the shooter by blaming the gun!  A attempt is underway from the left to “fast-track” a piece of legislation that will make the magazine used in the gun in this shooting illegal.  As if that will solve anything and everything,  even prevent another shooting right?  Have these people been living on another planet where common sense is a luxury not afforded to anyone or what? 

Here is an idea for anyone who takes it into thier mind to kill another… use a pitchfork!  Let the liberals figure out a way to outlaw pitchforks for a while and leave guns alone.  Maybe they can mandate all pitchforks manufactured must now have a warning label, how many folks out there have no idea that the pointed ends of the steel tines could cause grevious bodily harm if not used according to the manufacturers directions?  Oh wait, I’ve never seen the printed instructions included, are the manufacturer’s liable for any intended or unintended forking?  Where’s the sticker explaining these tools are intended for external use only?  Should the manufacturer be liable pain and suffereing for any blisters caused by the use of said tool? 

Perhaps a national campaign to outlaw pitchforks is needed before another person is harmed by these potentially deadly tools that are just laying about in most any barn across the world where any stupid person could cause themselves serious harm!!!  Action needs to be taken!

Our deepest condolences go out for all of the victims in this tragic event, however we place the blame on the right entity, not the gun, but the moron who aimed and fired upon folks.  Guns like anything else are a tool…it takes someone operating that tool to either do the work, unfortunately a gun, not unlike the pitchfork, has the capacity to do harm as well as do good…. it is the will of the operator as to which.
